Two options for AWS
To connect locations or data centers with Amazon AWS, there are typically two options:
- via public internet
- via a private AWS Direct Connect
The simplest option is to make the connection via the internet, but it is also the least secure solution. The private connection via AWS Direct Connect is much more complex to set up, but significantly more secure.
Complexity removed
To prevent errors and save time, Amazon Direct Connect is configured through the Wanscale portal. With a few mouse clicks, the correct configuration is set up, and the orchestrator software handles deployment. This makes setting up Cloud Connect straightforward rather than a complex process.
Integral part of the network
When Amazon AWS is provisioned, it automatically becomes an integral part of the entire network. After setup, it can be managed not only through the portal but also benefits from features like Unified Policies and Quality of Service that are automatically applied to the Cloud Connect connection.
