Frequently asked questions about DC Connect
You need network equipment such as switches and routers installed in your rack to provide connectivity within the data center and to external networks.
For the connection between your rack and your WAN environment, you can consider various options, including:
- Direct physical connections: You can use Ethernet connections such as fiber or copper cables to establish a direct connection with your WAN provider. This can be achieved through Ethernet switches in your rack connected to external switches or routers.
- Internet Service Provider (ISP): You can configure an internet connection through an ISP to connect to your WAN via the public internet. This requires the use of a router configured for internet connectivity.
- MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching): If you have a private WAN through an MPLS provider, you can configure an MPLS connection between your data center and your WAN, providing a secure and reliable connection between your locations.
